Welcome to the home of House Ancora! House Ancora (HA) is a fellowship of online gamers dedicated to promoting cooperation, role-playing, and merriment in company with one another across the varied landscapes of today’s online gaming environment. We firmly believe that friendship transcends any gaming environment and is independent of any specific style, genre, server, or realm.

We Aren't Dead!

House Ancora isn't dead, and in case you were wondering, we aren't zombies either. I know it seems like there hasn't been much activity around here for awhile, but that's not to say we haven't been around. House Ancora has finally succumbed to the pressure of modern technological life and has given up its forums for a more simple form of communication - Facebook.

We still play games together as time and desire allow, but more importantly, we still cultivate real friendships among people who share a similar love of gaming. House Ancora members still abide by our Creed, but we are more inclined to find a good guild to join in any given realm than try to establish and manage our own. And it works. People are enjoying their hobby, and the companionship of other Ancorans again.

So, whether you are an Ancoran of long ago seeking to rekindle relationships, or if you are a questing soul, searching for a good group of folks to game with, then we bid you welcome. Participation in the community is as simple as joining the Facebook group. Come on over! We'd love to get to know you.

Until we meet, may your blades remain sharp, your tankard be ever full, and your foes fall before you!

There are very few combinations of things in this world that get me as excited as "LEGO" and "Star Wars." Well, other than maybe "beer" and "BLTs," but since I don't have the latter available at the moment, let's all take a few minutes to nerd out over this gigantic LEGO Death Star! As one of the ne…

Let's face it, drones don't have the best PR. My perception of them is somewhere between killing machine and glorified hobby store plane. But I don't feel that way about Lily, an adorable drone (if there can be such a thing) that could change the selfie game forever. The Lily camera is a quadcopter…

I'm not sure these edibles look anything like the food we saw in the movies, and you don't have to eat in the game.

This weekend marks the beginning of Star Wars Weekends at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Running every weekend from now through June 14, the event celebrates the galaxy far, far away with character appearances, shows, merchandise, special guests, and yes, themed drinks and food. I'll be sharing more of…

For two weeks in 2007, a space shuttle carried a lightsaber. Ask an engineer, scientist, or astronaut who works in a space program about what inspired her to make our place in space and you're bound to hear Star Trek or Star Wars. The latter has been so influential in fact that, as a part of public…
